Since her debut album in 1995, Nashville singer/songwriter Kate Campbell’s clear-water vocal delivery, eloquent gift for storytelling, and easy command of a full range of American music styles have gained her prominence in the music world and a huge grassroots fan base. The daughter of a Baptist preacher, she grew up in Sledge, Mississippi and draws on those roots for inspiration. Kate’s musical tastes were forged in soul, R&B, gospel, Southern rock, folk and country. Whether autobiographical or a homespun tale, her songs convey the nuances of Southern living. Blending history, memories and music of the South, Kate’s music is a testament to faith, fortitude, humor, and the dignity to be found in the commonest of life’s subjects. She has recorded sixteen celebrated albums.

Hailing from the mountains of Asheville, NC, Town Mountain’s high energy, hard-driving bluegrass sound, tight harmonies and stellar in-house songwriting have become their trademark. The group lights up the stage with their honky-tonk edge, sporting a sound rooted in string band tradition but with a fearsome instrumental drive. The past two years have pushed Town Mountain into the upper tier of acoustic bands, and they have found themselves invited to the most prestigious bluegrass festivals in the US. In 2013 the band received two Momentum Awards from the International Bluegrass Music Association (Band of the Year and Vocalist of the Year), followed by a nomination in 2014 for Emerging Artist of the Year. As Bluegrass Today put it, “This, my friends, is how bluegrass is supposed to sound.”
